Put Your Behavioral Skills to Work—and Make a Real Difference!

Are you a behavioral professional who enjoys helping someone learn new skills, communicate more effectively, become more independent, and successfully navigate everyday challenges?

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, energetic professional with strong behavioral experience to join an experienced team supporting an engaging young adult with autism.

This is a hands-on behavioral support position, not simply a supervision or caregiving job. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) in everyday situations while helping the person build skills, increase independence, communicate, participate in the community, and enjoy a meaningful, active life.

We are hiring for:
Evening shifts:

  • Generally 4:30 PM–9:00 PM
  • Two to three evenings per week
Weekend shifts:
  • Saturday and/or Sunday
  • Must be available to work at least every other weekend
  • Availability to work both weekend days is welcome, and candidates interested in working every weekend are especially encouraged to apply!
We are looking for someone who can offer a dependable, consistent schedule and become a valued member of the support team.

Pay: $28–$35 per hour, based on education, qualifications, and experience.

What You’ll Do

You will use your behavioral knowledge in real-life situations to help the person learn, communicate, participate, and become more independent.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing ABA and Positive Behavior Support strategies.
  • Following an individualized Behavior Support Plan consistently.
  • Teaching and reinforcing communication, social, functional, and daily living skills.
  • Supporting skill acquisition and independence.
  • Recognizing opportunities to teach skills during everyday activities.
  • Responding calmly and appropriately to behavioral challenges.
  • Recognizing triggers, identifying patterns, and sharing successful strategies with the team.
  • Supporting communication through AAC, PECS, or other communication systems, as applicable.
  • Participating in community outings, recreation, and meaningful activities.
  • Providing personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed.
  • Collecting information and communicating important observations to the team.
  • Working collaboratively with the individual’s family, behavioral professionals, and other team members.
We’re Looking for Someone Who

Most importantly, you have a genuine interest in behavioral support and enjoy using behavioral principles to teach—not simply supervise.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with ABA, Positive Behavior Support, or another behavioral approach.
  • Have experience supporting individuals with autism and/or intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Be comfortable implementing a Behavior Support Plan.
  • Remain calm, patient, and thoughtful during challenging situations.
  • Understand consistency, reinforcement, prompting, data collection, and skill acquisition.
  • Enjoy teaching new skills and finding creative ways to encourage success.
  • Be energetic and willing to participate in activities rather than simply observe.
  • Be comfortable providing hands-on support and assistance with ADLs when needed.
  • Be dependable, able to work independently, and comfortable collaborating with an experienced team.
  • Be willing to learn, accept feedback, and maintain consistency with other team members.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Be physically able to safely provide the level of support required by the individual.
Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or training in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience or credentials such as:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • TSS
  • NADD
  • Behavioral Health
  • Special Education
  • ABA or Psychology
  • Other behavioral or disability-support credentials
Experience with AAC, PECS, functional communication, skill acquisition, data collection, or Behavior Support Plans is a plus.

We also welcome experienced professionals who may not hold a specific credential but have demonstrated meaningful experience providing behavioral support.

This Is More Than a Caregiving Position

This isn't a job where you're simply there to supervise someone or fill time.

Your behavioral skills matter!

You will have opportunities to teach communication, build independence, reinforce appropriate skills, work through challenges, and create opportunities for success. Whether you're teaching a daily living skill, practicing communication, supporting a community activity, or helping someone work through a difficult moment, your knowledge and consistency can make a real difference.

The goal isn't simply to get through the day.

The goal is to help the person have a successful day.

Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
