Direct Support Professional DSP and Household Specialist
Schedule
Saturdays 8am to 8pm (12 Hour Shift) plus Flexible Homemaker Chore Hours
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate dependable and energetic Direct Support Professional DSP and Household Specialist to provide 1 to 1 support for an adult gentleman living in his own apartment in Allentown.
He has Cerebral Palsy moderate intellectual disability and a seizure disorder. He enjoys listening to music watching classic movies going on car rides bowling and spending time out in the community.
This position combines a fixed 12 hour Saturday shift providing direct personal support with additional flexible hours for household maintenance and cleaning (maxim 40 hours/year)
Key Responsibilities
1. Direct Support Professional In Home and Community Supports $28.50 per hour
- Provide 1 to 1 care companionship and constant supervision on Saturdays 8am to 8pm
- Assist with personal care dressing hygiene and mobility support
- Provide safe physical transfer assistance and wheelchair support
- Prepare meals following specialized dietary requirements
- Monitor health and safety adhering to established protocols
- Accompany him on preferred community outings and weekend activities
2. Homemaker and Chore Specialist $14.40 per hour (Flexible Schedule)
- Perform periodic household cleaning sanitizing kitchen and bath areas dusting vacuuming and mopping
- Assist with heavy household chores and seasonal tasks to keep the home safe clean and clutter free
- Grocery Shopping and errands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (CNA preferred)
- Experience with Cerebral Palsy mobility assistance or seizure protocols preferred
- Ability to handle physical transfers and mobility support safely
Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
